At LifeSteps World Ministries we are committed to the inspired, infallible, and authoritative word of God as we strive through the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill the great commission of making disciples through teaching, modeling, mentoring, and multiplying. The training is centered around the person and life of Jesus Christ. As our perfect example on how to make disciples we look deeply and examine the life of Christ. As we examine the life of Christ and harmonize the gospels we see a pattern that Jesus was sequential and purposeful as He prepared and developed His disciples for a life of ministry—a ministry that would change the world.

Our Purpose
The purpose of this training is to glorify God by training and developing leaders who can and will make disciples like Jesus Christ. The leaders themselves walk through a “transformational” process that is patterned after the very training process of Jesus with His disciples, found in the Gospels. As leaders walk through this process, they will look directly into the heart and mind of Christ. The training is designed, not only to know the truths about Christ and His way making disciples, but also to be like Christ and to do what he He asks. Our goal is to go beyond mere instructions to the transformation of lives in thought, character, and will.
Our purpose is nothing less than the words that the Apostle Paul expressed in Colossians 1:28. “We proclaim Him, by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ.” As leaders are transformed by becoming more and more conformed to Christ, they will in turn learn how to make disciples who think, look, and act more and more like Jesus. Our first priority is for leaders to become more like Jesus in mind, heart, and will, while our second priority is for leaders to learn how make disciples through planting and multiplying churches. |
Our Process
We follow the style of teaching that Jesus demonstrated throughout His early ministry. He is the best model and example of master-teacher in all of human history. Therefore, though imperfect, our trainers lead by example…modeling and mentoring these truths through their lives and ministry. The teaching is highly interactive. We search the scriptures together, seeking to apply the principles to our lives and ministry. This necessitates questions, answers, discussion, and even debate. It is not be a lecture approach. In all of the training, we trust God’s Holy Spirit to guide us, teach us, and lead us into the truth of Christ (John 16:13-15).
The process Jesus Christ went through to develop His disciples can be broken down into four components: Evangelizing, Establishing, Equipping, and Empowering.
